At the same time, artificial intelligence is able to learn hundreds of times faster than a human, because it operates with a huge volume of data, comparable to the capacity of the Internet network. Attempts to combine artificial intelligence with natural algorithms have been made as part of the development of so-called human-machine interfaces based on various approaches, including implantation directly into the central nervous system and non-invasive neural interfaces, which will lead to the creation of fundamentally new, hybrid intelligent systems. Such intelligent neural interfaces are already being tested for medical purposes to restore lost motor functions in paralyzed patients, but they are unlikely to be widely used in the future. The main obstacle is potential complications: infection, electrode displacement, bleeding, and decrease in cognitive abilities. However, the use of non-invasive neural interfaces for civilian purposes significantly improves the efficiency and safety of people in dangerous occupations. Many tasks associated with the intense intellectual human work can be supported by artificial intelligence, which means that the hybrid intelligence optimizes and accelerates the processes of thinking, achieving goals and exchanging information. There are still relatively acute security problems on the path to developing hybrid intelligence that require creating mechanisms for its control and containment. Authoritative researchers of artificial intelligence believe that direct interaction of AI with a human brain can lead to avalanche-like and uncontrolled growth of machine intelligence, which can eventually recognize people’s thinking as inefficient, dangerous, and harmful to the system. However, such concerns are generally not justified, because artificial intelligence is secondary to the human mind, whose adaptive capabilities will always outstrip the program code. Hybrid intelligence will be efficiently implemented for solving social and economic problems in the foreseeable future and in particular tasks where speed and accuracy of data processing are crucial.
